• Warranty Policy

    Effective Date: August 23, 2026

American Drive Used Autoparts provides limited warranties on eligible used automotive parts. Warranty coverage varies by part and is based on the warranty period and terms stated on the customer’s invoice, order confirmation, or other written documentation.

    1. Warranty Coverage

Unless otherwise stated in writing, an eligible warranty covers the purchased part against defects in material or workmanship that prevent the part from performing its intended function during the applicable warranty period.

The warranty applies only to the original purchaser and the specific part sold by American Drive Used Autoparts.

    2. Warranty Period

The warranty period will be the period specifically stated on the invoice or order confirmation.

    Examples may include:

    • 30-Day Warranty
    • 90-Day Warranty
    • 6-Month Warranty
    • 1-Year Warranty

If no warranty period is stated on the invoice or order confirmation, the part may be sold without a warranty.

    3. What Is Not Covered

Unless expressly stated otherwise, the warranty does not cover:

    • Labor or installation costs
    • Removal or reinstallation costs
    • Diagnostic charges
    • Towing or roadside assistance
    • Rental vehicles
    • Loss of use
    • Lost wages or other incidental expenses
    • Damage caused by improper installation
    • Damage caused by misuse, neglect, abuse, or accidents
    • Damage caused by overheating, lack of lubrication, or improper fluids
    • Damage caused by modifications or alterations
    • Damage caused by racing or other abnormal use
    • Damage caused by incorrect installation or installation of incompatible components
    • Normal cosmetic wear associated with a used part

    4. Installation Requirements

Parts must be installed by a qualified technician when appropriate.

The customer is responsible for ensuring that the part is properly installed and compatible with the vehicle.

Failure to follow applicable manufacturer installation procedures may void the warranty.

    5. Engines and Transmissions

For engines, transmissions, transfer cases, differentials, and other major drivetrain components, additional requirements may apply.

Where applicable, customers should replace or service required maintenance items before operation, including appropriate fluids, filters, seals, gaskets, and other serviceable components.

The specific requirements stated on the customer’s invoice or warranty documentation will control.

    6. Electrical and Electronic Parts

Electrical and electronic components must be properly diagnosed before installation.

The warranty does not cover damage resulting from incorrect wiring, voltage problems, improper programming, installation errors, water damage, or incompatible vehicle systems unless expressly covered in writing.

    7. Warranty Claims

To make a warranty claim, contact American Drive Used Autoparts before removing or returning the part whenever reasonably possible.

Customers may be asked to provide:

    • Name and contact information
    • Invoice or order number
    • Vehicle year, make, and model
    • Part information
    • Description of the problem
    • Installation and diagnostic information
    • Photos, videos, diagnostic codes, or other documentation when appropriate

We may inspect or request the return of the part before approving a warranty claim.

    8. Replacement or Refund

If a valid warranty claim is approved, American Drive Used Autoparts may, at its discretion and subject to applicable law:

    • Provide a replacement part;
    • Provide an equivalent part when available; or
    • Provide a refund for the eligible part.

Replacement parts are subject to inventory availability.

A replacement does not automatically extend the original warranty period unless expressly stated in writing.

    9. Warranty Return Shipping

If a warranty claim is approved, American Drive Used Autoparts will provide return instructions.

Return-shipping responsibility may depend on the reason for the claim and the specific warranty terms stated on the customer’s invoice.

Customers should not ship warranty parts back without first contacting us.

    10. Part Identification

Warranty coverage applies only to the part sold by American Drive Used Autoparts.

Warranty coverage may be denied if identification numbers, serial numbers, warranty tags, labels, or other identifying markings have been removed, altered, damaged, or made unreadable.

    11. No Unauthorized Modifications

The warranty may be void if the part has been:

    • Modified
    • Disassembled without authorization
    • Rebuilt or repaired by an unauthorized person
    • Altered from its original configuration
    • Installed in an application for which it was not intended

    12. Vehicle Compatibility

Customers are responsible for providing accurate vehicle information before purchase.

American Drive Used Autoparts may use the vehicle identification number (VIN), year, make, model, engine, transmission, or other information to help identify an appropriate part.

Customers should verify compatibility before installation.

    13. Used-Part Condition

Used parts may have normal signs of prior use, including cosmetic imperfections, scratches, surface wear, fading, or other appearance-related characteristics.

Cosmetic differences or normal used-part appearance do not necessarily constitute a warranty defect.

    14. Inspection and Determination

American Drive Used Autoparts reserves the right to inspect a returned part and determine whether the reported issue falls within the applicable warranty coverage.

Warranty decisions will be based on the applicable warranty terms, available documentation, inspection results, and applicable law.

    15. Limitation of Warranty

Except where prohibited by applicable law, this warranty is limited to the remedies expressly stated in the applicable invoice, order confirmation, or warranty documentation.

Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude or limit rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

    16. Policy Changes

American Drive Used Autoparts may update this Warranty Policy from time to time. The current version will be posted on our website.
